Netvibes is the best

Especially love the RSS reader. I have tried Google’s and Bloglines and a few Dashboard/Konfabulator widgets, but none of them can match what Netvibes is doing.

GET NETVIBES

I also like getting updates on both my gMail accounts right there, and how they let me discover the IceRocket search engine, which gives you thumbnails and preview panes for websites inside the search engine (but I think it is a Google mashup).

Jason Calacanis is my Hero

First of all, this guy has started two successful media companies. That deserves respect. Secondly, he has guts, and he speaks his mind, and he is adamant about his causes, and he likes to get into meaningful discussion and debate. A simple Google search will show dozens of stories about Jason, I'm sure, and I bet most of them give him praise.

Facebook Announcements puts advertising in the hands of college kids

I am a semi-recent college graduate: I have been out of school for almost 2 years now. After I left school, all of my friends got into this social networking site called the Facebook. The facebook has been featured in several technical and business publications, and that kid Mark Zuckerburg is worth millions of dollars now. It's a nice tool, but I noticed something very interesting about it today: any student can post a bulletin, but here's the kicker - you have to PAY for them.

I finally got the G5 set up. I think it is just a shame that I have 2 dual-core processors and a measley 256MB og RAM! I ordered the new sticks, so they should be in next week I suppose. Still getting prefs. set up and apps installed. I will nee to get an FTP program and a text editor with syntax highlighting and preferrably FTP save.

I LOVE iCHAT!! It lets me keep my buddies in my contacts, which means I can see their real names!!

Digital Camera! New Computer! Gaming!

Wed, 12/28/2005 - 22:47 -- rprice

So the computer is only 2 months and 3 weeks late, but who’s counting? I actually decided NOT to plug it in today, because I know it will consume my life for a while, just gadgeting around. I need to get up in the morning and work for 3 hours before I do this (or as long as it takes to add a new preference to Unity. I also found out the RAM I bought is no longer good for my new machine, so now the decision is re-stock fee vs. eBay. If anybody is looking for 2GB of 184-pin RAM, ask me. I need you to beat $200 to make it worth my while.
