They haven’t even talked with us about setting up a new area to live in,” says Kasal, who is majoring in biochemistry and marine biology. “The biggest thing was, I kind of felt betrayed.”

College administrators, however, have no second thoughts about razing the property, bequeathed to the school by a former student in 1958. They argue that in addition to the need for construction space, removing the wood-built home has environmental benefits.

National Solar Power building solar farm in Liberty County - Orlando Business Journal

Solar power standard in some KB Home C. Fla. communities - Orlando Business Journal

KB Home's Fisher Plantation in Apopka will be the first community in the area to include solar power systems as standard. The systems are expected to help homeowners reduce monthly energy bills by as much as 50 percent compared to regular homes.

Milk is the raw material for a new fabric created by 28-year-old German biologist Ande Domaske, who has created a string of beautiful designs based on the silky smooth fabric. Gizmodo's Jesus Diaz writes, "I'm having a hard time believing this, but these women are wearing clothes actually made with real milk. Yes, the liquid white stuff."
