Three themes are provided by default:
Toolbar Mini - a miniture version of the standard Drupal toolbar
Admin Menu - a riff on the old D7 Admin menu
Seven - a light coloured menu with colors complimentary to the Seven admin theme.
Additional features:
Hide or show tabs (default is hide)
Hide or show icons (default is hide)
Override the font size (default is 12px)
There is the Better Field Descriptions module for Drupal 7, which allows a separate permission to let editors override field help text and labels, but its user interface wasn't simple and intuitive enough to really meet the need. Looking ahead to our new Drupal 8 projects, I thought it would be great to solve this problem in a simpler way as a Drupal 8 module.

We advise our clients to understand their problem and their users before spending time solutioneering, this is twelve levels deeper than that. Drupal has a development driven culture, it always has. I'm not surprised people are more interested in debating the framework of the week instead of looking at the problems it could be solving.

This is a Drupal 7 backport of the functionality added to the revamped toolbar: #787896: Add a link so that administrators can return to their most recently visited non-admin page which adds a 'Back to site' button when the user has clicked on an administration URL from a non-administration page. The 'Back to site' link will persist until the user returns to a non-administration page.
Seven theme is a special case that has to cover a lot of ground: It has to be completely accessible Mobile friendly Provide consistency across 20.000 modules Stand the test of time – as it is often the main way people interact with Drupal and one of the main ways people come to understand the Drupal brand. This is a proposal, so we hope to receive loads of feedback.
HTML/JS prototype we've created for a mobile toolbar and dashboard for Drupal that we hope to include as part of the Spark distribution and then propose for Drupal 8 core as part of the Drupal 8 Mobile Initiaitve.
Drupal 7's default administration tools (e.g. Toolbar module and Shortcut module) were not designed in a “mobile first" way, and as such can be difficult to work with on tablets or smartphones.
